Lucio, Heather & Ignacio
Lucio, Heather and Ignacio would like to welcome you to our page and thank you for taking the time to view our profile.
We (Lucio and Heather) have been married for five years, but we have been together through dating and engagement for 13 years. Our courtship began in high school and we married after college graduation. Lucio works as a bridge engineer and designer, and Heather is currently a stay-at-home mom while previously working as a school speech therapist.
Our adoption of Ignacio was a dream come true and has transformed our lives completely, as well as bringing so much joy to our extended family and friends. It is a great blessing to watch Ignacio grow, learn and love. We spend our days playing outside, reading books, dancing and creating works of art. We are eager to expand our family with another adoption, and Ignacio
would be overjoyed to have a younger brother or sister. His caring and sweet demeanor assures us that he is ready to be a big brother.
We currently have an open adoption, and have been in contact with Ignacio’s birth mother through phone calls, text messages and face-to-face visits. We believe that an open adoption is what is best for Ignacio, his birth mother and our family. For our next adoption, we are open to adopting a child of any race and sex. We plan to respect the wishes of the birth parents as to the type of relationship they want with their child. We trust that God will bless us with the baby that is meant for our family.
We come from large Mexican-American families and learned from an early age that family is the most important thing in our lives. We spend many weekends at family celebrations and get-togethers, or with our supportive group of friends. We also like to have fun by going to the beach, the park, the zoo, Disney Springs, riding bikes and any other fun activities we can imagine. We love traveling, and Ignacio has become an expert traveler as well. Before Ignacio was born we traveled to Spain, Italy, the Dominican Republic and Mexico. Since Ignacio was born we have traveled to Mexico and numerous states in the U.S.A, including all the way up to New York City.
As parents, the most important thing for us is that our children, and your child if you so choose for us, grow up with a love for God and we make it a priority to have Ignacio involved with us at church and in prayer. God has placed many challenges in our lives, but without His guidance and grace our hearts would not have grown to love as they do today. We humbly pray and hope that you will consider us as the future family of your child. God bless.
