Meet Our Adoption Counselors

Melissa Anderson, MSW

Melissa has Masters in Social Work and started working with Catholic Charities in 2016, after completing her internship with the agency. Prior to working with the adoption team, she worked for 10 years in the social service field as a contract worker for the Department of Children and Families as well as a substance abuse counselor.

Lisa Coleman

Adoption Counselor

Lisa is a dedicated adoption conselor committed to serving underserved poplulations and empowering individuals to reach their fullest potential. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver and is pursuing a Master of Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University. Lisa’s professional expertise lies in addiction studies, crisis reform and intervention.

Catholic Charities Adoption Services is a licensed child adoption agency and has been providing adoption services as Catholic Social Services since 1945, making us a well-established and respected adoption provider in the community. Our Florida adoption agency provides services in10 counties within Florida to all members of the adoption triad including birth parents, adoptive families, and Adopted persons. We offer non-judgmental support and information to anyone regardless of age, ethnic origin, or religion. Our Counties include Brevard, Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Orange, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, and Sarasota.
